Guntur chicken dry recipe with Guntur chilies, this is an Indo-Chinese fusion dish made with sauces and Guntur chilies. This dry chicken recipe is really delicious and goes well with boiled rice, pulao, parathas, or any rotis. It can also be enjoyed as a starter.
This is quite different from the Andhra-style Guntur chicken dry recipe made with fresh ground masala. Don’t get confused by the name; this is a fusion dish with Guntur chilis and Chinese sauces. I have tried the Andhra-style Guntur chicken, which is more suitable for masala lovers.
This version will be suitable for the ones like me who love to enjoy Chinese dishes. Try this dish at least once I am sure you will make this again and again.
Step-by-step instructions to prepare Guntur chicken dry
Ingredients:-
For Marination
- Chicken – 1 kg
- Lemon juice – 1/2
- Salt as required
- chili powder – 1 tsp
- pepper powder – 2 tsp
- Ginger -Garlic paste – 2 tbsp
For Preparation
- Oil to fry chicken – 1/2 cup
- Minced Garlic – 30 (1/4 cup)
- Minced Ginger – 2 tbsp
- dry Guntur chilies – 16
- Onion – 2 medium
- Soy sauce – 3 tbsp
- Ketchup – 2 tbsp
- chili powder – 2 tsp
- Sugar – 1 or 2 tsp
- Spring Onion – 2 tbsp
Instructions:-
1. To a bowl add 1kg chicken, marinate with the juice of 1 lemon
2. Ginger garlic paste – 2 tbsp, salt as per taste
3. Pepper powder – 2 tsp
4. chili powder – 1tsp, Marinate chicken and allow resting for 30 mins
5. after 30 mins, shallow fry chicken pieces, fry until golden on all sides remove from pan and set aside
6. To the same oil add 1/4 cup minced garlic and 2 tbsp minced ginger.
7. fry until the raw smell of garlic and ginger goes off, then add 16-Guntur chilis and saute for 1 minute.
8. Add 2 medium-sized chopped onions, and cook until it turns golden.
9. add chili powder 2 tsp
10. Dark soy – 3 tbsp
11. tomato ketchup 2 tbsp, stir and cook for 2 mins
12. sugar 1 tsp.
13. add the fried chicken pieces, stir, and cook for 2 mins
14. finally, garnish with spring onions
