Then you need to take another bowl to make the batter. for that add ingredients of butter, powdered sugar, eggs, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and baking soda. then mix and whisk the batter till reaches a smooth flowy texture. now add the soaked raisins and dates into a grinder by adding ¼ cup of milk more. grind well to make a smooth paste.

Now, combine the ground dry fruit paste with the batter, also add the tutti frutti, and vanilla essence, and mix well by using a whisk. Whisk well until you reach a smooth, flowy batter. Now the batter is ready to bake. Next, line a butter paper in a baking tray, pour the batter into the tray, and tap it to release the air bubbles. ensure to spread the batter to corners and edges.

For baking, we can either use a kadai with a cover or an oven. Here, we have used a kadai with a cover.. so first, we need to preheat the kadai on a medium flame for 5 minutes. After that, place the baking tray into the kadai over a steel ring. It is better to keep some salt over the bottom of the kadai to protect it from overheating. Cover and bake for 40–50 minutes on medium heat. (Bake in a preheated oven for 30–40 minutes at 170 degrees Celsius.) After 50 minutes, open the lid and check the cake by inserting a toothpick. if the toothpick comes out clean, the cake is well-baked. Now remove the raisins and dates cake from the kadai and place them on a wooden board. Cut the raisins cake into slices and enjoy with tea or coffee.

  1. To a mixing bowl, add 1 cup of raisins, 1 cup of dates, and ½ cup of milk, and soak for 10 minutes.

  2. To another bowl, add 50 grams of butter, and ¼ cup of powdered sugar, and mix until smooth texture. next, add 2 eggs and whisk well. Then add 1 cup of all-purpose flour through a strainer. add 1 teaspoon of baking powder and ½ teaspoon of baking soda. Mix batter without forming lumps.

  3. Now grind the soaked dry fruits. Add soaked dry fruits and ¼ cup of milk to a grinding jar and grind to make a smooth paste.

  4. Combine dry fruits paste with batter by using a whisk. Next, add ¼ cup tutti frutti coat with 1 teaspoon of flour mix with the batter. (coating tutti frutti with flour avoids sinking to the bottom.)

  6. Grease a baking tray with oil or butter. Line with baking paper and pour batter. Spread evenly to corners and edges.

  8. Preheat the pot for 5 minutes on medium flame. Place the baking tray inside the pot over a steel ring. Cover and bake for 40- to 50 minutes on medium flame. (or bake in a preheated oven at 170 degree Celsius for 30- 40 minutes.

  9. After 50 minutes open the pot cover and check the cake by inserting a toothpick in it. If the toothpick comes out clean then the cake is perfectly baked. Let’s remove it from the pot.
