  1. Take half a cup of coconut in a bowl, to the same bowl add 1 chopped banana. Mix well to coat the banana with coconut.

  2. To another bowl add 1 cup of ragi flour and salt to taste, sprinkle  ¼ cup of water in batches and mix, the flour should be slightly moist not too wet or too dry.

  3. To check the doneness of the flour, take a handful of flour and press it between fists if it holds shape then the flour has reached the perfect consistency.

  4. Now let's fill the flour In a puttu maker, first layer it with the banana coconut mixture spread it at the bottom, and fill the remaining space with ragi flour, do not press simply layer it. layer the remaining banana-coconut mixture over the ragi flour. Cover the puttu maker with its lid.

  5. Fill the pressure cooker with 1 cup water, Place the puttu maker on the steam vent of the cooker after removing the whistle, and steam for  5 mins on high flame. do not over steam as it can turn dry

  6. After 5 mins remove from flame and flip the puttu maker over a banana leaf or serving plate. Serve hot with banana and papad.
