Step-by-step Instructions to make Soya Tikka Pulao

Ingredients:-

For Soya Chunks Marination
  • Soya Chunks – 1 Cup
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  • Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  • Pepper Powder – ½ tsp
  • Chaat Masala – ¼ tsp
  • Kasuri Methi – 1 tsp
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Juice of half lemon
For Making Masala
  • Oil – 3 tbsp
  • Cumin – 1 tsp
  • Bay Leaf – 1
  • Onion – 1 medium
  • Bell Pepper – ½ cup
  • Green peas – ½ cup
  • Tomato – 1 medium
  • Green chili – 3
  • Salt to taste
  • Ginger Garlic Paste – 2 tsp
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  • Chili Powder – ½ tsp
  • Coriander Powder – 1 tsp
  • Garam Masala – 1 tsp
  • Cooked Basmati Rice – 3 Cups
  • Coriander Leaves
  • Pudina Leaves

Instructions:-

  • Step 1. Take 1 cup of soya chunks and soaked in hot water for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes squeeze out excess water.
  • Step 2. To a bowl add 2 tablespoons of curd, ½ teaspoon of turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon of chili powder, 1 teaspoon of coriander powder, 1 teaspoon of garam masala, ½ teaspoon of pepper powder, ¼ teaspoon chaat masala, 1 teaspoon kasuri methi, and 2 teaspoon ginger garlic paste. Combine well and add salt, and juice of half a lemon then mix well again. Masala for marination is ready.
  • Step 3. Add soya chunks to the bowl and coat well with the masala. Allow resting for 30 minutes.
  • Step 4. After 30 minutes, thread soya chunks onto skewers one by one. and place it on a flame. Cook until dark patches appear all over. Rub with oil. After well-cooked transfer soya chunks to another bowl.
  • Step 5. Heat a kadai on medium flame and add 3 tablespoon oil, 1 teaspoon cumin, 1 bay leaf, 1 chopped onion, ½ cup bell pepper, ½ cup green peas, 1 medium tomato, and 3 green chilies, cook in high flame for 5 minutes.
  • Step 6. Next, add salt, and 2 tablespoons of ginger garlic paste. Saute well and ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, ½ teaspoon chili powder, 1 teaspoon coriander powder, and 1 teaspoon garam masala. Cook until the raw smell goes off.
  • Step 7. Next, add 3 cups of cooked basmati rice to the masala and mix well. Add little coriander leaves, pudina leaves and finally add grilled soya chunks to the rice. Mix well. 
  • Step 8. Next, Place a small vessel inside the kadai with heated charcoal. Then pour a little oil on the charcoal to make fumes. Cover and let it stay for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes remove the charcoal and soya tikka pulao is ready to serve. Thank You.
