- Sugar – ¾ to 1 Cup
- Corn Flour – ¾ Cup
- Butter – 2 Tsp
- Sugar (for coating)

- To a grinding jar, add 5 peeled oranges. grind to smooth juice and strain through a strainer to another cup. Extract the juice completely. (got 1 cup of orange juice)
- Next, heat a frying pan on medium flame and pour this 1 cup of orange juice into the pan.
- Add ¾ to 1 cup of sugar to the orange juice. After dissolving the sugar add ¾ cup of corn flour into it. stir and dissolve without forming lumps. keep on low flame.
- Stir continuously once orange juice starts thickening add 2 teaspoons of butter. Cook until the mixture starts to leave the pan. Almost 30 minutes were taken for this process.
- After reaching the perfect consistency, transfer it to a setting tray covered by baking paper and spread it evenly. Allow cooling for 2 hours.
- After cooling, Remove the baking sheet and cut it into desired candy-sized shapes.

These orange candies look so good! I need to confirm if corn flour and corn starch (in the U.S.) are the same thing. I am not familiar with corn flour.

Yes, it is cornstarch.
You cannot add cornstarch directly into hot liquid. It will immediately clump ad you cannot recover . Make a “slurry” taken from a couple of teaspoons of the orange juice you prepared and mix to a smooth paste with the cornstarch . Then you can add this slurry to the orange juice / sugar mixture as you constantly stir and the heat will cause it to thicken gradually
