A Step by Step guide to making the delicious Methi Thepla

Ingredients:-

  • Wheat Flour – ½ cup
  • Jowar Flour – ½ cup
  • Besan – 2 tbsp
  • Curd – 2 tbsp
  • Turmeric Powder – ½ tsp
  • Chili Powder – 1 tsp
  • Salt to taste
  • Ajwain – ½ tsp
  • Asafoetida – 2 pinch
  • Garam Masala – ½ tsp
  • Ginger-Garlic- Green chili paste – 2 tsp
  • Methi Leaves (Fenugreek Leaves)- 1 cup
  • Sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
  • Water – ½ cup
  • Oil – 1 tbsp

Instructions:-

  • Step1. To a mixing bowl add ½ cup wheat flour, ½ cup jowar flour, 2 tablespoons besan, 2 tablespoon curd, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, 1 teaspoon chili powder, salt,½ teaspoon ajwain, 2 pinch asafoetida, ½ teaspoon garam masala, 2 teaspoons ginger-garlic-green chili paste, and 1 cup methi leaves. Mix well with your hand.
  • Step 2. To the same bowl add 2 tablespoons of sesame seeds and ½ cup of water. Mix well and knead to form a dough. Next, add 1 tablespoon of oil and knead for another 1 minute.
  • Step 3. Make medium-sized balls out of dough. Coat with flour and spread thin. Shape it round 
  • Step 4. Heat a tawa on a medium flame and place methi thepla on it. Flip after 1 minute. Cook until dark patches appear. spread little oil over thepla and cook for 1 minute. Remove from the pan. The delicious methi thepla is ready to serve. Enjoy with pickle or curd. Thank You.
