Ingredients:-

  • Masoor Dal (Red Lentil) – 1 Cup
  • Ginger – 1 big piece
  • Green Chili – 3
  • Onion – ½
  • Salt to taste
  • Water – ½ cup
  • Coriander Leaves – Few
  • Shallots (chopped) – ½ cup

Instructions:-

  • Step: 1. To a bowl add 1 cup masoor dal (red lentil), pour enough water, and soak for 4 hours.
  • Step: 2. After 4 hours rinse and strain masoor dal. Then transfer to a grinding jar and add 1 big piece of ginger, 3 green chilies, ½ onion, salt, and ½ cup water, grind smoothly.
  • Step: 3. Now transfer the batter to a bowl and add a few coriander leaves. Mix well. Now pour 2 ladles full of batter into the heated tawa and spread evenly to a round shape. Drizzle oil at the edge of the masoor dal chilla to avoid stickiness on the tawa. Spread some chopped shallots and coriander leaves over the batter and flip over, cook for 1 minute.
