The ingredients for this soya 65 recipe are 2 teaspoons all-purpose flour, 3 teaspoons corn flour, 2 teaspoon Kashmiri chili powder, one teaspoon of pepper powder, one teaspoon of coriander powder, one teaspoon of garam masala, ½ teaspoon chaat masala, and ½ cup of water to make semi thick batter. You will also need enough oil to deep fry soya chunks.

First, mix the flour with all the spices mentioned above and make sure that they are mixed well. Add salt to taste if needed. Then add water to form a semi-thick consistency, and mix it well for about five minutes until it becomes a smooth batter. Then, add the soya chunks to the batter and thoroughly mix; make sure the soya chunks are well coated; and set aside for 15 minutes. Soya chunks are deep-fried for 15 minutes before being combined with fried curry leaves and green chilies. The crispy soya 65 recipe dish is finished.

  • Soya chunks - 2 cups
  • Water - 3 cups
  • salt
  • Corn flour - 3 tsp
  • All-purpose flour - 2 tsp
  • Kashmiri chili powder - 2 tsp
  • Pepper powder - 1 tsp
  • Coriander powder - 1 tsp
  • Garam masala - 1 tsp
  • Chaat masala - 1/2 tsp
  • Water - 1/2 cup
  • Oil - to deep fry
  • Curry leaves 
  • Green chili - 3

Methods:-

  • Firstly, in a Kadai take 3 cups of water, add enough salt, 2 cups soya chunks, get to a boil and cook until soft.
  • Strain and squeeze excess water from soya chunks. and transfer to a bowl. 
  • Take a bowl add 3 tsp cornflour, 2 tsp all-purpose flour, 2 tsp Kashmiri chili powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 tsp coriander powder, 1 tsp garam masala, ½ tsp chaat masala, salt, and mix well.
  • Add ½ cup water to the same bowl and mix well, add water gradually by checking the consistency till semi-thick batter.
  • Add soya chunks to the semi-thick batter and mix well and allow to stay for 15 minutes.
  • After 15 minutes, deep fry soya chunks in a Kadai by adding enough oil. Fry in medium flame and do not over-fry. Once it turns crispy, remove it from the oil and transfer it to a plate.
  • To the same oil add a bunch of curry leaves and fry well. Remove it from the oil and add it to the top of the soya chunks. Fried curry leaves give food flavor to the dish.
  • Repeat the same process to fry 3 green chilies and transfer them to the same soya chunks plate.
