  1. Soak Dates and Raisins in 1 cup of hot water for 30 minutes. After 30 minutes transfer the soaked ingredients to a grinding jar along with 2 tbsp of soaked water and grind to a smooth paste, set aside.
  2. To a kadai add 3 tbsp of ghee and 1 cup of Ragi and roast in medium flame for 5-6 minutes. Set aside.
  3. To the same kadai add Makhana and stir and roast for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes add a quarter cup of Almonds (with or without skin) and roast for another 2 minutes. Once makhana turns crispy remove from pan and transfer to grinding jar. Grind to fine powder and set aside.
  4. Next to a pan add ghee Transfer the dates and raisin paste stir and cook in medium flame until the ghee is completely absorbed. After 4-5 minutes of cooking add Roasted Ragi flour and Powdered Makhana Mix well then add desiccated coconut and Chopped Pistachios.
  5. Stir and cook for another 1 minute then switch off the flame and allow to cool for some time.
  6. While the mixture is still warm make medium-sized balls out of it. Store the laddus in air-tight containers and refrigerate for longer use. Under refrigeration, they can stay fresh for up to 3 weeks.
