  • Prawns - 500 gm
  • curd- 1 tsp
  • chili powder- 1 tsp
  • pepper powder- 1 tsp
  • salt- as required
  • Ghee - 1/2 cup
  • Coriander seeds - 1 tbsp
  • black pepper - 1/2 tbsp
  • Fennel seeds - 1/2 tbsp
  • cloves - 5 to 6 
  • Cinnamon Sticks - 3 to 4 
  • Kashmiri dry chili soaked in water for 30 mins - 5 to 6 
  • Garlic - 5 cloves 
  • shallots - 10 chopped 
  • Curry leaves - few 
  • coriander leaves - to garnish 
  • Garam masala (optional )- 1/2 tbsp

Instructions:-

  1. Marinate Prawns with Curd, salt, chili powder, and pepper powder and set aside.
  2. Dry roast spices coriander seeds, black peppercorns, carom seeds, cinnamon sticks, and cloves. roast in medium flame for 5 minutes. Allow the spices to cool and add them to the grinder also add soaked Kashmiri chili and Garlic cloves. Grind to a fine paste and set aside.
  3. To a Heated pan add ghee. Roast the prawns in ghee. roast until they turn soft and tender remove from the pan and set aside.
  4. To the same pan add shallots and curry leaves. cook until the shallots turn golden.
  5. Once it turns golden add the ground masala add more ghee if required. cook until the raw smell of masala goes off.
  6. Stir and cook continuously until the oil separates. add prawns along with 3 tbsp of water. continue to cook add more water if required. once the oil separates 
  7. Add garam masala (optional). finally, garnish with coriander leaves. serve hot with rice or Roti.
