Step 1. Roast 3 cups of thin poha in a kadai on medium flame. Roast until crispy. Once it reaches crispy remove it from the flame and set aside.
Step 2. Heat enough oil in a kadai to deep fry some ingredients. Place a strainer over the kadai and allow to dip in half portion of the oil. Add 1 cup of dry coconut pieces into the oil and fry until golden color. remove and transfer to a bowl.
Step 3. Add ½ cup of peanut into heated oil and fry on medium flame until it changes color. remove and transfer to the same bowl.
Step 4. Add ¼ cup of chana dal into heated oil and fry on medium flame until it changes color. remove and transfer to the same bowl.
Step 5. Add ¼ cup of cashew nuts into heated oil and fry on medium flame until it changes color to golden. remove and transfer to the same bowl.
Step 6. Add curry leaves into heated oil and fry on medium flame remove it and transfer to the same bowl.
Step 7. Add 3 green chilies chopped into heated oil and fry on medium flame. remove and transfer to the same bowl.
Step 8. Next, for making masala, heat oil in a small kadai on medium flame and add 1 tablespoon of sesame seeds, and 1 teaspoon of turmeric powder, pour masala into the bowl containing fried ingredients. Mix well.
Step 9. Now transfer poha and fried ingredients to a large bowl. Combine well with a spatula. also, add 2 tablespoons of powdered sugar, ½ teaspoon of garam masala, salt, ½ teaspoon of mango powder, and ½ teaspoon of chili powder. Combine well. Crispy poha chivda is ready to serve. Thank you.
