Step 1. Take 250 grams of kunafa dough on a flat plate and pour 110 grams of melted butter on kunafa dough. Gently rub and coat the dough with butter. Divide into two equal portions.
Step 2. Heat a saucepan on medium flame and add 250 ml of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, and 2 tablespoons of corn flour. Cook on medium flame until it thickens. Now add 75-gram cottage cheese and cook until cheese melts. Also, add 100-gram mozzarella cheese. Kunafa cream is ready after the cheese melts.
Step 3. For Making Sugar syrup heat a pan on a medium flame and add 1 cup of sugar, and ½ cup of water. Stir and dissolve sugar in water. Now add ¼ teaspoon rose water to get a good aroma and taste. simmer for 5 minutes and add rose petals (optional). The sugar syrup is ready.
Step 4. Grease a pan and spread half of the kunafa dough on the pan. Spread evenly and press down from all sides. Now pour the prepared cream and spread at the center leaving the edges free. Next, spread the second half of the dough as the third layer. Gently press from the edges and center covering the creamy layer.
Step 5. Next, cook on low flame for 5 minutes. After 5 minutes, remove the pan from the direct flame and place it on a tawa. Keep the flame medium and cook for another 10 minutes. Now grease another pan, a slightly bigger one, and place it upside down over the first pan. Gently flip and transfer the kunafa to the second pan. Then cook for another 10 minutes on medium flame. After 10 minutes, place a tray or plate over the pan, flip and transfer the kunafa to the tray. Perfectly done crispy and golden kunafa are ready.
