To a grinding jar add 1 tomato, 1 green chili, (cut into small pieces), and a few coriander leaves. Grind well.
Heat a Kadai on medium flame and add 1 cup of water, and salt, after boiling water adds 1 cup jowar flour. (if too sticky add more flour) continue mixing until the water is completely absorbed and transfer to a bowl.
While the dough is still warm pour tomato puree and starts kneading the warm dough. add ¼ cup of jowar flour to adjust consistency.
Knead the warm dough for 5 minutes to make it smooth. Pour 1 tsp oil and knead again for 1 minute to get a soft dough.
Make lemon-sized balls from the dough. The dough is sufficient enough to make up to 6 Rotis.
Dust the work surface with wheat flour or jowar flour. Spread it using a rolling pin and place it on a hot Tawa.
When small puffs appear flip over. Flip and cook for a few seconds until brown patches appear. Once the roti has puffed well spray oil on both sides and remove it from the flame.
Continue the same with the remaining rotis. Finally, the soft jowar rotis are ready to serve. Have it plain or with a side dish.
