Ingredients:-
- Onion – medium
- Capsicum – 1/4 cup
- carrot grated – 1/4 cup
- Chopped garlic – 1 tbsp
- Curry leaves
- Turmeric powder – 1/2 tsp
- Ajwain – 1/4 tsp
- Crushed chili – 1/2 tsp
- Cumin powder – 1/2 tsp
- Pepper powder – 1/2 tsp
- salt
- Jowar / sorghum flour – 1 cup
- Warm water – 1/4 cup
- Ghee – 2 tsp
- White sesame seeds – 2 tbsp
Preparation:-
- Firstly, in a mixing bowl or a plate, add 1 medium onion chopped, ¼ cup capsicum, ¼ cup grated carrot, 1 tablespoon chopped garlic, curry leaves, ½ teaspoon turmeric powder, ¼ teaspoon ajwain, ½ teaspoon crushed chili, 1.2 teaspoon cumin powder, ½ teaspoon pepper powder, salt, and 1 cup jowar flour and mix well by adding ¼ cup warm water
- Pour water gradually, and mix to form a sticky dough. Next, add 1 teaspoon of ghee to the dough and mix well.
- Grease a banana leaf or baking sheet. Here I took a banana leaf for making rotti
- Take a handful of dough and place it on the banana leaf. Spread it using your fingers and work on the edges to get a round shape.
- Flip the banana leaf and place the dough on a greased tawa. Then slowly detach the dough from the banana leaf without breaking it. Flip rotti after 1 minute and spread ghee on both sides. Next, sprinkle sesame seeds and cook on a medium flame.
- Once rotti turns golden brown on all sides, remove it from the tawa and transfer it to a serving plate.
