Ingredients
  • 0.5 cup Sago seeds
  • 1 cup Makhana
  • 2 tbsp Almonds
  • 1 tbsp Ghee
  • 1 cup Grated Carrot
  • 0.5 cup Sugar
  • 750 ml Milk
  • 0.5 tsp Cardamom Powder
  • 2 tbsp Chopped Almonds
  • 2 tbsp Raisins
Preparation
  1. Wash and strain half a cup of Sago seeds, Set 3 cups of water to boil Cook the sago seeds in water until they turn transparent.
  2. Once the sago seeds are cooked strain and Set aside.
  3. Roast Makhana and Almonds in a pan for about 2 minutes. Transfer them to a grinding jar and grind them to a fine powder. Set aside
  4. Next to the same pan add ghee and grated carrot roast the carrot in ghee for 2 minutes then add in the sugar. Once the sugar melts pour the milk and add the powdered dry nuts. Stir and dissolve.
  5. For flavor add a half teaspoon of cardamom Powder, simmer, and cook for 5 minutes.
  6. After 5 minutes add chopped almonds, raisins, and cooked sago. Stir and cook for 1 more minute. After 1 minute switch off the flame carrot, and Makhana Kheer is ready to serve
  7. Pour Kheer into a serving glass garnish with chopped nuts and Enjoy!
