Pureed ripe banana is mixed with rice flour to form a smooth dough and stuffed with coconut and sugar filling. This is a pair of the two favorite tropical fruits in one chewy bite. Step-by-step instructions for preparing banana and coconut snack

Ingredients:-

  • Banana - 3 (any type)
  • Sugar - 1/4 cup + 2 tbsp
  • Cardamom pods - 4
  • milk - 1/4 cup
  • Rice flour - 2 cups
  • Coconut - 1/4 cup
  • Dry nuts for decoration
  • Saffron strands (optional)

Instructions:-

1. Add 3 ripe bananas to a grinding jar (you can use any banana; I am using the Kerala banana or the one used to make banana chips with a yellow color), along with 1/4 cup sugar, 4 cardamom pods, and 1/4 cup milk 1/4 cup. grind to a fine paste.

2. Transfer the banana puree to a bowl and add 2 cups of rice flour, Don't add it all at once; add it in batches and check the consistency. Mix to form a smooth dough, and set aside.

3. For the coconut stuffing, add 1/4 cup of grated coconut to a pan. Also, add 2 tablespoons of sugar and grated dry nuts of your choice. slightly roast them on low flame for 1 or 2 minutes and remove them from flame 

4. Make lemon-sized smooth balls out of the dough, Make a space in the center of the ball by pressing it with a bottle cap.

5. Fill the space with coconut stuffing. Decorate with more nuts and saffron strands (optional). Make more balls out of the dough.

6. Set a steamer, and arrange the snack balls in the steamer. steam in medium flame for 10 minutes. After 10 minutes, our soft and yummy snack is ready to serve.
